About the Company:

My client is a large council focused on providing community development and strategy. This longstanding business offers a friendly environment, skill development and career progression. They have continuously provided an excellent standard of work and are now looking for an Accounts Clerk to join their Finance Team.
 
About the Role:

This local government council is currently seeking an Accounts Clerk to cover a Maternity Leave role for a period of 6-12 months commencing 1st week of Jan 2019. You will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in AP and must have used TechOne and Kofax in a similar environment. You must be a great communicator as you will be required to speak with customers and suppliers on a daily basis.
 
Responsibilities Include:

  • Process AP Inbox validating/workflow invoices
  • Address and resolve AP queries on a daily basis
  • Process weekly and ad hoc accounts payable runs
  • Full end to end accounts payable
  • End of month reconciliations
  • Process Councillor and credit card payments
  • Raise debtor invoice requests
  • Process and match debtor receipts/credit notes
  • Other duties as required  

 About You:

  • High level of customer service and communication skills
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience within AP
  • Ability to meet tight weekly deadlines in a high-volume processing environment
  • Proven experience in a fully automated digital scanning Accounts payable environment – Using Tech one and Kofax or similar (Absolutely essential)
  • Transactional debtors experience
