Job description

As the Associate Director in one of the with world's top ranked engineering design consultancies, you will be exposed to a range of projects and stakeholders providing you with an opportunity to apply your experience on major rail projects. Current and recent projects include light rail, metro, passenger rail and freight rail. You will be responsible for leading and mentoring the signalling team as well as contributing to the further success of the wider Civil and Infrastructure team.
 
Key Responsibilities

  • As the Associate Director - Signalling you will:
  • Lead, mentor and grow the NSW signalling team
  • Set and clearly communicate goals and targets for self, team and stakeholders
  • Be pro-active in managing priorities for clients and internal stakeholders
  • Manage risk and opportunities on all assigned projects
  • Oversee the production of high-quality design work
  • Maintain and further develop strong client relationships
  • Gather first-hand client information and use it for improvements in services

 
To be considered, you will have the following

  • Engineering degree and local rail network signalling accreditation/licences
  • At least 15 years signalling experience, with a demonstrated history managing complex signalling design processes
  • Ability to build, maintain and manage strong client relationships and have worked closely with construction managers 
  • Experience providing high quality technical advice to clients and ensures that the needs of clients are understood and met
  • Ability to create high performing, motivated and engaged teams via Performance Planning, Performance Management, appropriate Reward and Recognition, learning and development opportunities
  • Strong leadership skills with excellent interpersonal skills
