Our client is a large Sydney firm who are experiencing an exciting time of expansion. This firm has a good structure for supporting their employees and investing in their development. This firm have a high standard in their recruitment and prioritise culture fit with a view of maintaining their low staff turnover.
 
About the role
 
This role will involve working on a wide range of contentious matters including, but not exclusive to;

• Insolvency
• Corporations Act
• Defamation
• Partnership disputes
• Franchise

Clients in this role vary with a slight bias to SMEs and client contact is highly encouraged. This is an opportunity to work closely under some highly experienced and reputable lawyers whilst also having the opportunity to supervise and mentor the more junior members of the firm.

As with any litigation role the workload can be intense but admirably there is a real environment of comradery within this team.
This is a real opportunity for a Commercial Litigation Associate with ambition to join a firm and set the foundations for a long and lucrative career with recognisable clients.

There is already a considerable caseload, so applicants must be prepared to hit the ground running and exhibit a work ethic to match the firm's values and expectations.
 

Ideally applicants will possess:

• At least 4 years PQE in Commercial Litigation
• Strong court experience
• Good communication skills and willingness to carry out a high level of client contact
• The ability to work efficiently individually and as a part of a team
