Communications Manager | Content Writing | ASX | CBD | $1000 P/D | 12 +

Job description

This leading business has recently been going through a significant amount of Transformational change and as such require a highly experienced Communications Manager to come on board to assist their highly professional and motivated team. 

In this role you will play a pivotal part in creating compelling content to support an exciting organisations wide change program. Collaboration with the People & Culture team and the project team (including both external consultants and internal resources) you will be responsible for developing and delivering an employee communication strategy to support the rollout and embedment of organisational initiatives generated by the project.  
 
Responsibilities:

• Creating compelling content to facilitate employee engagement and understanding of the project’s strategic objectives and embedment of initiatives across a global workforce of 12,000 people.
• Content may include but is not limited to presentations and briefing materials, CEO speeches, intranet and email content, employee events and corporate employee videos.
• Ensure all communications are aligned with the project’s strategic objectives and broader strategy, as well as the internal language of our culture and core values.
• Ensure quality control of all communications activities to align with Corporate Affairs & Marketing’s high standards of accuracy and style. 
• Demonstrated experience in distilling complex concepts into simple and compelling communication materials with a focus on writing.
• Ability to work to an evolving brief and craft impeccable clearly articulated content for senior leaders.
• Experience working across a large organisation with an extensive international presence desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to disseminate information, facilitate decision making and build relationships with key stakeholders.
• Competencies include: exceptional writing skills, decision making, interpersonal abilities, planning & organising, problem solving & analytical thinking, change management and creativity.

Core Requirements 

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in communications field, with exceptional written communication skills.
• Experience in speech writing at a political /CEO level desirable.
• Demonstrated experience in distilling complex concepts into simple and compelling communication materials with a focus on writing.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Communications, Marketing, Journalism/PR or business-related field.
• Understanding opportunities and obligations of working in a complex, global organisation desirable.
• Experience in supporting major change projects across global corporate cultures desirable.
