Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the implementation of community engagement plans in line with business requirements to ensure stakeholders are consulted at appropriate points in the project, are provided with up to date information and have a clear understanding of the project’s objectives
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with the Communication and Engagement Functional Group to ensure a coordinated and consistent approach to government and senior stakeholder relationships, media, issues management and marketing within the projects
  • Manage and deliver a range of communications activities for internal and external audiences to support communication objectives for the project
  • Undertake ongoing evaluation of communication programs and key messages and assist in tailoring campaigns and communication materials as required
  • Contribute to the identification of risks associated with community engagement aspects of the project and assist in the development and implementation of appropriate strategies and controls to minimise risk

To be considered, you will have the following

  • Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or a similar discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Team management experience
  • Extensive experience in developing and delivering communication strategies across complex and diverse projects, (major infrastructure, highly desirable)
  • Strong Stakeholder and Community Engagement skills
