About the Company:
My Client is a legal company based in Barangaroo. They are on the lookout for a Corporate Accountant to assist with the provision of complete, accurate, timely
and complaint financial information to the firm.
About the Role:
- Working alongside the finance Director to ensure the development and preparation of financial and accounting information for submission to management
- Preparation of all schedules for financial reporting in accordance with statutory requirements
- Manage all direct and indirect taxation requirements and obligations including the preparation of annual income tax returns for all operating entities and provide advice on an ongoing basis as to ways and means of minimising taxation liabilities
- Manage the lodgement of the firms BAS, FBT and GS statements
- Manage the Firms superannuation requirements
- Prepare a high level of financial reporting and analysis of results
- Month end accruals and adjusting entries
- Ensure compliance with firm’s operational standards and the firms policies in general
About You:
- Minimum of two years’ experience as an Accountant or Assistant Accountant
- Must be degree qualified in a finance related discipline and be CA or CPA qualified or close to completion
- Previous experience in financial analysis in business reporting, financial reporting and forecasting highly desirable
- Prior experience in a law firm is highly desirable as is professional and or financial services
- Must have a strong user level with MS Excel. Affinity ERP system use is highly regarded
- Good interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
- Attention to detail
- Prior experience in payroll highly desirable
- Flexibility to work outside normal office hours may be required
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
