This prestigious and nationally recognised media organisation has continued to grow from strength to strength.  Having seen significant growth over the past couple of years coupled with a growing headcount, the need for an IT Implementation Specialist has arisen to join their highly professional and collaborative team.  In this role you will play a pivotal part working with key IT and Business stakeholders, you will have significant experience in data or information management and technically skilled with both Power BI and Exadata Oracle.
 
The Implementation Consultant will have the following responsibilities;

  • Ensure all work performed is planned and that the plan accurately reflects the scope, risks, dependencies, costs, timelines and other relevant information
  • Collaborate effectively and utilise all available tools and resources to efficiently deliver projects that meet the given requirements and quality standards
  • Perform testing activities to ensure changes meet requirements and quality standards and will not negatively impact the existing environment
  • Liaise with the project manager throughout the project lifecycle to ensure the technical scope is executed against the agreed baselines
  • Take all reasonable care to ensure that your actions or omissions do not Follow change management processes and collaborate with other IT team members to deploy changes to the environment in a controlled manner, maintaining the integrity of existing services
  • Ensure that co-workers are treated respectfully and without any form of discrimination, harassment or victimisation
  • Follow company policies and procedures
  • impact on the health and safety of yourself and others in the workplace

 
To be successful in the role you will have;

  • Experience in Oracle 12c Exadata database maintenance
  • Experience in a data or information management role
  • Advanced level of competency in multiple versions of Oracle DBMS and supporting tools
  • Competency in the design of data-based applications, data warehouses and reporting solutions
  • Competency in at least one BI tool or suite, preferably Tableau or MicroStrategy
  • Ability to quickly analyse and understand large data sets
  • High level of initiative, problem solving and organisational ability
  • Experience optimising data heavy solutions to improve performance
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
