Job description
- Burwood
- Initial contract until 30/7/2019
- Up to $550 a day + super
NSW Government agency is looking for an experienced Environmental Advisor to join their team in Burwood.
The role:
- Promote contemporary environmental and sustainability practices (including construction and facilities environmental management)
- Develop and manage environmental risk registers
- Prepare and review environmental programs, reports and assessments
- Provide support with contaminated land rehabilitation, biodiversity, sustainability and other environmental issues or risks
- Manage licenses and monitor environmental practices to ensure required certification and compliance with applicable regulatory standards
- Provide environmental training and support to line management and staff
About you:
- Proven Environmental working experience within a large organisation
- Qualifications in the field of Environment (desirable)
- Experience in the strategic development and application of a contemporary risk based approach to issues
- Strong communication and problem solving skills
