About the role
This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join a welcoming and experienced team to support the Director of Finance within an educational setting. The position is a senior assistant role, sitting in the finance team and is highly accountable for ensuring the Director's schedule is in order by dealing with many appointments, meetings and deadlines. 

You will be required to:

  • Facilitate all meetings of council and relevant committees by scheduling and drafting correspondence including agenda preparation and meeting minutes
  • Proof reading documents and reviewing tasks and information requested by the Director, ensuring timely and accurate communication
  • Acting as first point of contact for incoming calls for the Director
  • Prepare correspondence and documentation for OH&S meetings as well as acting as Safety Coordinator
  • Coordinate insurance claims by liaising with staff 
  • Assist with domestic travel bookings for staff with regard to conferences or learning days
  • Process receipts with regard to internal charges, cab charges, photocopy usage etc

About you:

  • 3+ years experience in a similar role 
  • Tertiary qualification in Business Administration or relevant area of study
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  • Proven experience taking meeting minutes in an accurate and timely manner
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
