About the Role
My client is looking for a Finance Officer, GD 5/6 in a backfilling capacity within the Finance Team for up to 3 months, with the possibility of extension. You will need to assist and participate in both financial/ statutory reporting accounting tasks and management accounting tasks
Responsibilities:
- Month end duties
- Acting as a gatekeeper for Councils’ iProcurement transactions
- Responding to Council queries
- Year-end work for March and June close
- Monthly account reconciliations
- Monthly management reports, and variance analysis
- Annual budget preparation and forecasts
- Assist and participate in on- going project and business process improvement initiatives
- Other tasks as directed by the Principal Finance Analyst and the Management team
