Group Accountant

Job description

I am currently working with a large ASX listed FMCG business who are looking for a Group Accountant to join them on a temp to perm basis. You will be providing executive level support to the business and managing group function.

You will:

• Review quarterly, half-year and annual accounts in order to meet external reporting requirements
• Oversee that statutory requirements, submissions and audits for the group
• Manage and mentor 2 direct reports
• Maintaining the accounting policies and chart of accounts for the group
• Prepare investment advise and checklists for accounting entries
• Manage the reporting and cash flow requirements of each business unit
• Investigate impacts of changes to accounting treatments and preparing accounting position papers
• Provide technical acco8uting guidance to the finance function
• Improve processes to increase efficiencies and accuracy of the reports
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders

Key criteria

• Qualified accountant
• Technically strong
• Good communication skills
• Ideally from a Big 4 or top 10 firm
