Job description

Based in the Eastern suburbs, this busy local government are on the search for a highly motivated and versatile HR Business Partner to join their busy team. Reporting to the People Experience Lead, the primary focus of the role will be to help the business to achieve its objectives by liaising with senior business partners, management, employees and supporting the overall People Experience team. 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Advise and coach managers and employees on general HR matters particularly with regard to people related software systems and employment related activities
  • Assist in Performance Management and remuneration reviews
  • Accurately maintain and keep Human Resources Information Systems up to date
  • Provide HR reports to various stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Organise pre-employment medicals, police checks and assessments
  • Assist with administration duties for various employee initiatives across the business
  • Development and execution of HR policies and procedures 

To be successful in this role:

  • You will have the relevant Tertiary qualifications in HR or proven HR generalist experience
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • High level of computer skills
  • A positive and proactive attitude towards work
