Job description
This NSW Government department is looking for a Hydrogeologist to provide key specialist hydrogeological advice and expertise, technical assessment, analysis and review of groundwater issues to support the sustainable management of groundwater in NSW and to enable compliance with legislation.
About the role:
- Undertake review, analysis and assessment of groundwater impacts of activities and developments to ensure compliance
- Undertake investigations and develop solutions that address groundwater, stream interaction, dependent ecosystems science, planning and policy gaps
- Contribute to the broader water assessment and management functions to promote integration of groundwater management issues
- Plan, monitor and manage large multidisciplinary projects, contracts and teams as required to deliver effective natural resource management outcomes
About you:
- Degree level tertiary qualifications in Hydrogeology, Geology, Earth Sciences or related disciplines
- Comprehensive understanding of Government’s natural resource management policies
- Highly developed report preparation and general correspondence writing skills
- Current NSW Driver Licence
