Job description
- Engage with stakeholders advising on the internal communications process
- Local government - based in Eastern suburbs
- Immediate start - initial 3 month contract opportunity
The Role:
- Develop and drive the internal communications strategy across the organisation
- Act as the main point of contact for all internal communication queries
- Develop the weekly staff newsletter by liaising with both internal and external stakeholders
- Monitor social media channels and respond as directed, and use technology to undertake social listening, escalating issues that arise
- Maintain a content calendar, ensuring an appropriate mix of content across channels
- Coordinate and produce regular reports on the performance of channels
About you:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant area such as marketing, communications or journalism
- Strong organisational skills and able to work under pressure
- Excellent communication, collaboration and engagement skills
- Ability to write content for multiple channels
- Local government experience is beneficial
