Job description

This leading Financial Services company is currently going through a large transformation of work and is currently looing for a highly experienced L&D consultant to come on board for a 12 month contract.  In this role you will play a pivotal part planning, coordinating and executing various training initiatives.  You will be responsible for developing training and administering training functions across online, face to face, webinar and other technology channels specific to Transformation Project needs.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Identify  and assess the knowledge gap between the current and future operational environment to design, structure and develop the appropriate training
  • Determine how the project will meet the specific training needs of stakeholders internally and externally and determine the appropriate support structure post training
  • Implement training strategy including materials and assessment framework
  • Co-ordinate and schedule implementation of the Training Strategy including timetables,  agenda, venues, facilitators and participants
  • Execute training and support activities detailed in the Training Strategy
  • Work with Technology resources to prepare, populate and manage the training environments
  • Liaise with vendor instructional designers, when used, with quality checking of products, to achieve on time, on budget delivery
  • Design and develop training materials, including guides, workbooks, presentations and procedures as required
  • Document business procedures for the training environment
  • Maintain,   edit  and evaluate e-learning content to determine where existing training material needs to be changed
  • Report on training against targets, with analyses, commentary and recommendations
  • Facilitate training sessions for learners as required in preparation for implementation.
  • Manage risk/issues associated with L&D activities
  • Other duties as required

To be successful for this position you will need to display:

  • Bachelor Degree in Adult Education, or equivalent (
  • Current Certificate IV TAE or equivalent (
  • Minimum three years Learning and Development experience
  • Experience in conducting needs analyses through liaising and consulting with stakeholders and SMEs
  • Demonstrated experience in deriving high level training specifications with internal stakeholders and external vendors
  • Demonstrated experience in applying adult learning principles
  • Experience with Blended learning, Face to face and eLearning
  • Strong administration and attention to detail
  • Self-organised with ability to plan and progress multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Experience developing in Articulate Storyline
  • Change Management and Benefits realisation exposure and experience
  • Strong oral communications for delivering facilitation, meetings, interviewing and briefs
  • Excellent written communications, including composition, grammar and spelling
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office products
