This leading ASX listed organisation is at the forefront of their market.  With continued plans for expansion, a need for an experienced project manager who has exposure to implementing Legal systems has emerged to join their highly professional and skilled team.  In this role you will play a pivotal part in engaging with key stakeholders and vendors across the business working on a variety of differing end to end projects
 
The primary purpose of this position is to provide support transitioning the legal team into a new way of working. The Legal Team Project Manager will support activities associated with people, processes and systems.

A leading part of the role will be coordination of the implementation of a new legal matter management system, which requires a dedicated professional to drive the desired changes and support the team on this new operating model.
 
Duties will include

  • Developing project plans for projects and planning, executing, tracking and reporting on project activities
  • Managing third party project consulting resources
  • Providing leadership and achieving outcomes within tightly controlled timeframes
  • Planning and designing transformation programs and proactively monitoring progress, resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective action
  • Managing the input of subject matter experts into key project activities; for example detailed design, business process change, change management, data cleaning and user acceptance testing
  • Ensuring effective quality assurance and overall integrity of projects
  • Ensuring the delivery of projects is to the appropriate level of quality, on time and within budget, in accordance with program plan and program governance arrangements, and that committed business benefits can be realised
  • Managing dependencies and interfaces between projects
  • Connecting with key stakeholders for the programs of work
  • Leverage the Project and Program Management methodology and governance structure
  • Collaborate to further develop the current Project and Program Management framework
  • Undertaking analysis to enable project-related decision making

Role Requirements:

  • Develop best practice frameworks and methodologies for the legal team
  • Look at ways to improve the matter management system
  • Provide input, document requirements and support the design and delivery of training
  • Identify, analyse and prepare risk mitigation policies
