Job description

The main purpose of this role is to work with internal and external stakeholders to support a variety of activities and execute content in line with the values and goals of the organisation.
 Some of the key responsibilities are below:

  • Write, edit and publish a variety of internal and external publications
  • Proof reading and editing the content as required 
  • Develop productive relationships with the media 
  • Coordinate content collaboration, editing and production for various offline and online channels
  • Manage conflicting priorities, dealing with incoming requests and some design tasks
  • Coordinate delivery and distribution of the school newsletter fortnightly 
  • Process orders of marketing collateral, brand merchandise and stationery and report on usage and costs of these

Competencies & Characteristics

  • A minimum of two years previous experience in a marketing assistant or coordinator position
  • Previous experience in and ability to draft content for marketing and promotional material
  • A demonstrated ability to project manage positive working relationships and deliver excellent client service with both internal and external customers
  • Ability to self-manage competing priorities and work schedules
  • Highly developed computer skill and literacy, with sound skills in MS Office: MS Outlook, MS Word and MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
  • Intermediate Adobe Creative Suite experience (lnDesign and Photoshop)
  • Possesses a positive outlook, exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and high emotional intelligence with demonstrated ability to build authentic, collaborative and productive relationships
  • Tertiary qualifications or Post Graduate qualifications in marketing, public relations or allied fields are desirable.
