Job description
Our NSW Government client are seeking a Network Security Engineer for immediate start in Parramatta. You will be a key senior engineer within the project team, accountable for the delivery and build of network security services and the handover transition into operations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Configure, build and deliver network security solutions on multi-vendor platforms
- Contribute to design artefacts
- Troubleshoot difficult issues to arrive at a technical solution that meets the project’s needs .
- Serve as a liaison with internal & external stakeholders on business requirements & deliverables
- Manage active project requests
- Collaboratively work with the Project Manager & Network Architecture team
To be successful, you will need experience in:
- Cisco Firepower UTM FW
- Cisco FMC management
- NAT, IPSec & IPS/IDS technologies
- eDMZ, iDMZ & extranet security FW zoning exposure
- Juniper Netscreen ISG & SRX 1500/1400 UTM FW
- Junos space management
- Fortigate UTM FW
- Forti manager & Forti analyser
- SIEM functionality
- Layer 2 technologies: Dot1q trunks, Spanning tree, STP , MSTP, Etherchannel, vPC etc
- Layer 3 technologies: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, HSRP, VRRP & Multicast etc)
- WAN technologies: MPLS & VPLS
- IOS/NXOS/IOS-X/Forti-OS/Junos operating systems capability
- Cisco ISE AAA Radius & TACACS
Desired experiences:
- Experience with mission-critical enterprise network security technologies
- Experience with high-available datacentres & MPLS WAN
- Experience with high-available internet telco carriers
- Formal hardware training and/or certifications from one or more of the following vendors: Cisco Systems, Juniper network, Fortinet
