Job description
An exciting permanent, full time opportunity for a Payroll Team Leader has become available with one of our clients, a well-known FMCG based in the city.
About the Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone from a fast paced, high volume payroll background.
- Plan and deliver weekly/monthly payroll
- Conduct Month End duties and assist in preparation of End of Year services
- Prepare reconciliations each month, EFT/cheque requisitions for superannuation
- Assist Head Of Payroll in staff training and development
- Effective management of core payroll processing team in terms of work allocations, mentoring, training, leave and performance management
- Approval of leave, rosters and timesheets for payroll team
- Work with Payroll team members in ensuring customer requests are executed in a timely and efficient manner
- Monitor staff performance and address opportunities for process improvements with the Head of Payroll
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legislative payroll requirements
- About You:
- 6 years Payroll experience with 3 years supervising a team
- A capacity to develop, plan and execute activities in a demanding and dynamic environment
- Proven ability to develop and manage a team through complex change and environments
- Strong excel and numeracy skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working payroll in large complex organisations – FMCG experience will be highly regarded
- High attention to detail
- Analytical with strong understanding of payroll, financial and statutory requirements
- Certificate or diploma in Payroll/Accounting would be highly regarded.
