Job description
- Sydney CBD
- Initial 3-month contract
- Up to $50 p/h + super (7hr a day)
NSW Government Agency is looking for a Policy officer to join their team in the CBD of Sydney. You will support the development of policy initiatives and provide advice on policy, legislative and procedural reforms.
About the role:
- Perform research, analyse and review policy issues to develop evidence-based options
- Recommend solutions to resolve potential problems and to mitigate risks
- Provide advice on policy matters to relevant stakeholders
- Monitor and report on the development of policies
- Build strong working relationships with key stakeholders in the organisation
- Prepare correspondence, written reports, publications and briefing notes
Essentials:
- Tertiary qualifications in Legal
- Strong research skills
- Experience within the NSW Government in a similar capacity (desirable)
- Excellent writing and communication skills
