Job description
Project Accountant | Financial Accountant- NSW State Government
- Initially starting 6 Months Contract - ongoing 2026
- $500 - $600 per day + Super
- Parramatta SQ| WFH 4 days
- Provide periodic financial position reporting including capital and project expenditure analysis, project costing and forecasting
- Ensure all transactions and associated project reporting is provided for management review
- Preparing budgeting and forecasting, operational and project performance reporting
- Manage accounting, budgeting systems and procedures for projects as well as the production of forward year capital budget estimates for projects
- Ensuring delivery of reports on costs, budgets and performance
- Manage the delivery of financial reports to Management on project status and performance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- CA or CPA qualifications (or working towards)
- Experience in project management, capitalization
- SAP, WBS, Fixed Asset Register (desirable)
- Recent 2 - 4 years of Project/ financial accountant, including business partnering
- Good team player with positive work collaboration skills
- Government experience
