Project Manager

Job description

This leading Telco business is currently going through a large transformation and are currently looking for a Project Manager with experience working in the Network Operations space to work on a large program of work.  In this role you play a pivotal part working with senior level stakeholders, you will have a strong background in complex network project roles and be a peoples person who enjoys working in a team environment.
 
Essential Skills / Background
 

• Accountable for the delivery of project management documentation such as the Project Management Plan, Schedule, Risks & Issues register, weekly reporting, change management
• Responsible for the delivery, implementation planning, reporting and governance required to ensure NSO business objectives can be met and delivered upon within the agreed timeframes.
• Leadership of the successful delivery of projects to scope, schedule & quality
• Support the assessment of new projects to define scope / charter & business case development
• Consistently tracks project success against value realisation requirements
• Leads integrated change management activities
• Definition of a detailed Work Breakdown Structure
• Develop, monitor and control a detailed project schedule to track & report project progress
• Actively communicates changes to critical path activities to realign resources as needed
• Acts as escalation point to successfully resolve any scheduling issues with stakeholders
• Leads development of risks & issues management and reporting
• Correctly assesses the probability of achieving time, cost and quality objectives throughout project and effective addresses high-risk areas
• Define, control and manage project costs throughout the project life cycle
• Ensures costs are managed in alignment with the broader context
• Create a collaborative team environment to ensure a high performing team
• Ensure strong, articulated, defined & positive communication management
• Team leadership of a virtual team of Subject Matter Experts across the business
• Regular engagement at senior levels of management across the business
• Determine most effective communication strategy to manage and communicate effectively with all stakeholders
• Stakeholder engagement throughout the project life cycle

 
Requirements

• 5+ years' experience working in a Telecommunication environment
• 10 years' experience managing Telco projects >$4M
• 10 years' experience managing project teams >12 subject matter expertise
• PRINCE2 / PMBOK or equivalent certified
• AGILE / Scrum framework experience in complex environments
