Job description

We have a rare and exciting opportunity to work for a multifaceted, fast paced local government authority. Reporting directly to the Senior HR Consultant, the primary function of the role will be to provide a variety of HR expertise including end to end recruitment and administration of various HR tasks. 


Responsibilities will include; 

  • Providing generalist HR advice and support to various stakeholders and teams within the organisation
  • Assisting with the overall recruitment process including pre-employment requirements, reference checks and organising interview panels 
  • Managing employee files including onboarding and departure documentation  
  • Work closely with the broader HR team to maximise HR processes 


To be successful in this role; 

  • You will have relevant tertiary qualifications in HR
  • Previous experience understanding and interpreting contracts of employment, Awards and Enterprise Agreements
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in a similar HR role 
  • Ability to work to deadlines and excellent time management skills 
  • Strong communication skills and high level of attention to detail
