Senior Tax Manager

Our Client is a large ASX listed IT company looking to take on a Senior Tax Manager. The role will work across a number of technical advisory tax teams with either a domestic or cross-border focus with an emphasis on large corporate work.

We are looking for:

Senior tax professionals with commercial knowledge and experience in advising or working with large public and/or multinational groups. We are seeking tax professionals with tax advisory experience (corporate tax and international tax)

The roles:

As a senior professional within this organisation, you will have leading responsibility to direct, plan, co-ordinate and deliver complex work that achieves quality results. Knowledge and experience of the tax environment is required to implement strategies to work closely with multinational enterprises and public companies.
A Tax Specialist will have demonstrated experience and skills in many of the following areas (depending on the roles available):

• Mergers and acquisitions
• International tax structuring
• Risk and tax technical
• Accounting or financial statement analysis
• Client engagement
• Leadership and project management
• Communication with all levels

The ideal candidates will have:

• An understanding and experience of the structures and tax planning approaches used in the multinational enterprises and large public groups,
• Knowledge and experience of the taxation legislative and financial environments, particularly in the areas of tax due diligence, mergers and acquisition, international tax and public and multinational groups,
• Achieved outcomes within set time frames,
• Negotiated with clients and stakeholders using professional judgement and knowledge to influence outcomes
• Developed and mentored less experienced staff to make technical decisions
• Contributed own expertise to promote tax technical excellence
• A degree in tax, accounting, commerce or law
• 7+ years’ experience in the tax, accounting or law fields
