Job description
Our client, a Local Government Organisation, is at the fore of their wide-reaching digital transformation programme and require a Solutions Architect to join the team for what is essentially a green-field project.
Transformation initiatives have introduced a new approach to the Council’s work practices. Subsequently, these initiatives are having a major impact on technology at the Council as they move to a more applications-based environment.
To be successful in this role, we need you to have the following experience:
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the development, management and maintenance of enterprise and solution architecture designs for specific systems and applications.

Produce outline of system designs and specifications, and overall architectures, topologies, configuration databases and design documentation of networks and networking technology within the organisation.

Support the coordinator of IT strategy in the creation and review of technology to meet the strategic requirements of the business.
Requirements:

Minimum 5-years' experience in similar roles as a Solutions Architect.

Understanding of Applications infrastructure.

Experience with architecture integration.

Developed knowledge of languages (e.g. C#, UML, Ruby), methodologies (e.g. SDLC, IT Architecture, infrastructure, cloud development and DevOps) and best practices.

Project management certifications are a bonus (e.g. Lean/Agile, PMI's PMP, CMI's Accredited Change Manager, ITIL).

Degree in Computer Science, IT or Software Engineering will be highly regarded.

Strong communicator, both verbal and written, to liaise with relevant stakeholders.
