Job description

The Role
This NSW Government Department is seeking an Administration Assistant to join a dynamic team. The successful person will be employed on a temporary contract for an initial 3 month contract with a high potential for extension.

Duties
  • Administration support (including filing, mail receipt)
  • Meeting and event support, creating and compiling documents to support the team
  • Provide initial customer service, answering general queries and referring issues to the appropriate staff member
  • Reception duties when required
  • Assisting in providing support to various teams including preparing agendas, briefing papers and organizing meeting venues.
  • Compile information to support the development of documentation and reports.  
  • Records Management using TRIM
  • Any Adhoc Administration tasks
Skills/ Experience
  • Good communication skills
  • Government experience required
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritizing skills
  • Microsoft Office Skills
  • Experience in drafting correspondence
  • Recent TRIM experience is a MUST
  • Previously worked in a regulatory role
  • Ability to work in a high volume environment with tight timeframes
