Job description
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Bookkeeper to join a well-established and respected accounting firm known for its supportive team environment and strong client relationships.This role will suit someone who enjoys managing their own client portfolio, working closely with clients and being part of a collaborative and professional team.
The Role You will be responsible for managing the bookkeeping and BAS requirements for a portfolio of clients across a range of industries, ensuring deadlines and compliance obligations are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-end bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients
- Preparation and lodgement of BAS and IAS
- Managing client queries and providing ongoing support
- Maintaining accurate financial records using Xero
- Assisting clients with lodgement dates, tax payments and superannuation obligations
- Ensuring compliance deadlines are consistently met
- Working closely with accountants and the broader team
- At least 2 yrs of experience in Bookkeeping in Public Practice
- Strong working knowledge of Xero
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines
- Professional and team-oriented approach
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Experience managing multiple clients simultaneously
