The Opportunity
This role is ideally suited to a technically strong and commercially minded tax specialist who is looking to move beyond day-to-day compliance and into a position where they can influence strategy, drive client outcomes, and progress toward ownership.

  • Top 20 AFR firm
  • Well estalished Canberra accounting firm with a current headcount of around 70 staff and 7 partners across multiple divisions
  • Services include tax, SMSF, advisory, financial planning and financial lending
  • Strong leadership team with many staff having long tenures
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and review complex personal income tax returns and related tax matters
  • Deliver proactive tax planning, structuring and advisory services to clients
  • Build trusted relationships with a diverse portfolio of individuals and family groups
  • Lead, mentor and develop a team of tax professionals
  • Work closely with senior leadership on strategic initiatives and business growth
  • Contribute to the ongoing success and direction of the Personal Tax Division
  • Progress towards an equity position within the firm
About You
  • CA or CPA qualified
  • Minimum 6 years' experience within public practice accounting in Australia
  • Strong expertise in personal taxation and tax advisory services
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to inspire and develop teams
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills
  • Collaborative, commercially minded and client-focused
