The OpportunityThis role is ideally suited to a technically strong and commercially minded tax specialist who is looking to move beyond day-to-day compliance and into a position where they can influence strategy, drive client outcomes, and progress toward ownership.

- Top 20 AFR firm
- Well estalished Canberra accounting firm with a current headcount of around 70 staff and 7 partners across multiple divisions
- Services include tax, SMSF, advisory, financial planning and financial lending
- Strong leadership team with many staff having long tenures
- Manage and review complex personal income tax returns and related tax matters
- Deliver proactive tax planning, structuring and advisory services to clients
- Build trusted relationships with a diverse portfolio of individuals and family groups
- Lead, mentor and develop a team of tax professionals
- Work closely with senior leadership on strategic initiatives and business growth
- Contribute to the ongoing success and direction of the Personal Tax Division
- Progress towards an equity position within the firm
- CA or CPA qualified
- Minimum 6 years' experience within public practice accounting in Australia
- Strong expertise in personal taxation and tax advisory services
- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to inspire and develop teams
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills
- Collaborative, commercially minded and client-focused
