Job description
THE ROLEAs Community Engagement Assistant, your role will include:
- Keeping up to date with project progress and maintaining awareness of community issues and concerns to develop proactive communications
- Monitoring and evaluating communication activities undertaken by contractors to ensure compliance with project objectives
- Ensuring the costumer outcomes are at the centre of what is delivered by the Government Department
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to deal effectively with people of all levels
- Ability to work independently, using initiative and as a team member
- Maintain a high degree of confidently, discretion and judgement while maintaining a strong customer service
- Demonstrated administration experience within the communications industry combined with good project management skills
- Advanced computer and software skills
- Ability to support a team in a high pressured and fast paced environment
- Ability to monitor media, identify trends and issues and prepare reports
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Tertiary qualification in media, communications, public relations or equivalent experience
- RARE 12-month contract in the government sector
- $30-$35 per hour
- Close to public transport
