As Community Engagement Assistant, your role will include:
  • Keeping up to date with project progress and maintaining awareness of community issues and concerns to develop proactive communications
  • Monitoring and evaluating communication activities undertaken by contractors to ensure compliance with project objectives
  • Ensuring the costumer outcomes are at the centre of what is delivered by the Government Department
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to deal effectively with people of all levels
  • Ability to work independently, using initiative and as a team member
  • Maintain a high degree of confidently, discretion and judgement while maintaining a strong customer service
  • Demonstrated administration experience within the communications industry combined with good project management skills
  • Advanced computer and software skills
  • Ability to support a team in a high pressured and fast paced environment
  • Ability to monitor media, identify trends and issues and prepare reports
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Tertiary qualification in media, communications, public relations or equivalent experience
  • RARE 12-month contract in the government sector
  • $30-$35 per hour
  • Close to public transport
