Compliance Officer

Job description

• Initial 12 & 18 month contract fixed term contract with potential to extend
• Hybrid working, 1 day a week in the office
• Up to $80k+ super

• Identify and proactively engage with suppliers and vendors to address and resolve non-compliance issues.
• Educate and support suppliers and vendors to understand and meet their obligations, acting as a subject matter expert in supplier compliance and relevant scheme requirements.
• Investigate compliance matters, assess risks and issues, and prepare reports, recommendations and written correspondence.
• Work closely with internal teams, government stakeholders and external suppliers to achieve positive outcomes.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships while managing challenging conversations with diplomacy and professionalism.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, policies and compliance practices and recommend practical solutions.
• Maintain accurate customer and compliance records, ensuring strong governance and attention to detail.
• Drive positive compliance outcomes through effective stakeholder engagement, problem-solving and continuous improvement.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a customer-focused approach.
• Experience working in customer service, ideally within a highly regulated environment.
• Ability to manage conflict and handle challenging conversations professionally.
• Strong administrative and systems skills, including CRM record management and Microsoft Office proficiency.
