Job description
- Local Government Authority based in Eastern suburbs of Melbourne
- Ongoing permanent role, working on marketing strategy
- Working 21 hours per week, flexible on days | Hybrid working
Reporting to the Manager Corporate Services, this role will advise and support marketing & communications activities across the organisation ensuring they are delivered to a high standard. This position has one direct report and will implement and develop the marketing strategy. The role will be part of a terrific, community-based organisation that provides services to the public across the Eastern suburbs.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Provide support to library staff engaged to promote the service at external forums and events as required
- Advise on effective marketing strategy to enhance the brand across the community
- Develop and implement a membership retention and attraction strategy
- Provide reports on the outcomes of specific marketing campaigns
- Oversee the application of corporate branding & communications collateral throughout the organisation
- Manage and maintain online communications content; including the website, intranet, social media and other online communication tools
- Write and edit a wide range of library communications including media releases and annual report
- Demonstrated experience within Digital Marketing & Communications developing strategy and mentoring staff
- Knowledge and experience writing various content for various platforms
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills dealing with a range of stakeholders
- Ability to prioritise and deal with competing priorities
