Job description

We are currently seeking an experienced Customer Service Officer for a contract role within the Government Sector. The role will be working on the reception desk and will largely be focused on meeting and greeting visitors and handling incoming enquiries. This is initially a 4-week contract with the possibility of further 2-week extension. Duties within the role will include:
 
The Role:

  • The Customer Service Support Officer will need to have
  • Tasks
  • Handle enquiries via telephone, email and face to face.
  • General reception duties
  • Provide a range of administrative and support services, including data entry, routine correspondence via email and telephone
  • Collect and compile information
  • Prepare documentation
  • Meet and greet visitors
  • Respond to enquiries, and escalate and redirect issues as required, to ensure the provision of accurate information and quality customer service 
  • Update and maintain records and databases, complying with administrative systems and processes, to ensure that all information is accurate, stored correctly and accessible.

 
Essentials:

  • Exceptional written and communication skills
  • Previous experience in Customer Service
  • Good interpersonal skills, outgoing, friendly and able to engage with a range of people
  • Highly organised, good time management skills and an ability to prioritise workload
  • Confident in juggling multiple deadlines and competing priorities
  • Previous experience in working in a similar regulatory environment
