Domain Architect - Digital

Job description

The Domain Architect is responsible for ensuring that business, application, information and technology perspectives are in line with the company’s strategies, policies and standards for an assigned digital domain.

The role is responsible for the creation, maintenance and management of enterprise architecture artefacts covering aspects of business architecture, application architecture, information architecture and technology architecture. The role will act as a conduit for Enterprise Architecture to flow into all areas

The Domain Architect is expected to ensure user experience, accessibility, security and quality considerations are an integral part of the company’s Business and IT processes and practices in new implementations and operations.

The role is also accountable for providing architectural input and advice to the university executives, managers and IT staff.

• The position reports directly to the Head of IT of the assigned domain(s) with a dotted line to the Head of Enterprise Architecture & IT Governance.
• This position has line management responsibilities of Solution Architects and Solution Designers within assigned domains.
• The Domain Architect works closely with all areas of the Information Technology Division and is a role model for fostering cross unit collaboration and communication practices.
• The Domain Architect will provide oversight and governance of the Solution Architects and Solution Designers within the domain.
