Job description

A NSW Government Department located in Parramatta is seeking an experienced Executive Assistant on a temporary basis with a possibility of extension.

Primary Purpose:

Primarily to provide high-level, confidential, comprehensive and quality executive, and secretarial support to 2 Directors and the wider business unit.

Duties:

  • Assist with appointments, diary coordination, booking meetings and managing a calendar
  • Email correspondence and management
  • Organising the directors day and action items required
  • Organising meetings and managing RSVPS
  • Distribution of agenda papers and action items
  • Assisting with the flow of ministerial correspondence
  • Briefing notes
  • Provide a wide range of administrative and secretarial support
  • Assist to manage efficiency and ensure workflow is maintained and deadlines are met
  • Meeting room bookings
  • Ad hoc requirements and complete support of 2 senior person along with a team
  • Provide support to the wider team alongside a team of other EA’s

Selection Criteria:

  • Highly organised
  • Experienced in the Public Sector
  • Experience as an Executive Assistant to 2 or more Directors and a team
  • A prominent level of initiative, confidentiality and discretion
  • Demonstrated ability to work calmly and efficiently in a high-pressure environment
  • The ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in: Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point
  • Excellent communication, presentation and writing skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • The ability to work as a team with other EA’s
