We are currently partnering with several well-established NSW Government departments and leading higher education institutions to recruit Finance Business Partners across a range of teams and business units.
These organisations are recognised for their collaborative cultures, strategic focus, and commitment to delivering meaningful outcomes across the public sector and education landscape. The roles offer exposure to senior stakeholders, large-scale budgeting cycles, and complex operational environments.
The opportunities
These positions will see you partnering closely with operational leaders and senior management to provide financial insights, support strategic decision-making, and drive business performance.
You will play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis while contributing to process improvements and broader commercial initiatives.
These opportunities suit commercially minded finance professionals who enjoy stakeholder engagement and adding value beyond traditional reporting.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with business leaders to provide financial and operational insights
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes
- Deliver meaningful management reporting and variance analysis
- Provide strategic financial advice to support decision-making
- Monitor financial performance and identify risks and opportunities
- Assist with month-end processes, reconciliations, and financial reporting requirements
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance processes and reporting
- Build strong relationships with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
Skills & experience
- CA/CPA qualified or working towards completion
- Experience within Finance Business Partnering, FP&A, or management accounting roles
- Strong budgeting, forecasting, and analytical capability
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to operate in complex, fast-paced environments
- Previous experience within Government, Higher Education, Healthcare, or large complex organisations will be highly regarded
- Strong Excel and financial systems experience
