Job description

Finance Business Partner

  • CBD Location
  • Hybrid Working
  • Up to $175,000 package
This is a true business partnering role for someone who enjoys operating commercially, influencing stakeholders and helping shape business decisions rather than simply reporting on them after the fact.

Working closely with operational leaders, procurement and wider business functions, you will act as a key commercial partner across a range of initiatives, projects and strategic priorities. The role requires someone comfortable working in evolving environments, able to challenge thinking constructively and bring finance into conversations early to support better decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with operational and commercial stakeholders to support strategic and financial decision-making
  • Develop financial models, scenario analysis and recommendations to support business initiatives
  • Support and evaluate business cases for new projects, investments and operational changes
  • Challenge existing processes and ways of working to drive improved commercial outcomes
  • Work closely with procurement and operational teams to identify opportunities, risks and efficiencies
  • Influence stakeholders through strong communication and relationship management rather than direct authority
  • Operate effectively in ambiguity and changing business priorities
  • Provide insights that go beyond the numbers, helping stakeholders understand the “why” behind performance
About You:
  • CA/CPA qualified with strong commercial finance or FP&A experience
  • Proven ability to partner with non-finance stakeholders
  • Strong communication and influencing capability
  • Comfortable navigating evolving structures and fast-moving environments
  • Naturally curious with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrates accountability, ownership and a proactive mindset
  • Able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery
Why This Role?

This opportunity offers genuine exposure to strategic decision-making and business operations, with the ability to influence outcomes and contribute beyond traditional finance responsibilities.

It suits someone who enjoys working closely with the business, asking questions, challenging thinking and helping drive better commercial decisions across a complex and evolving environment.
