• Finance manager role with a view to step up into a more senior role within a year
• Based North Shore
• Largest projects in the Southern Hemisphere

We are recruiting for a Finance Manager for a 2-year Fixed Term Contract, with a view to becoming permanent.  

Responsibilities for the role will include:

• Managing project accounting and asset capitalisation operations
• Supporting the head of Central Capex and Asset Accounting in meeting their reporting obligations to the Board and Audit Risk Committee
• Maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements
• Managing both Internal and External Audit process deliverables
• Supporting an effective A2R Steering Committee process
• Driving problem solving, continual improvement and standardisation of processes within the team
• Supporting the development and delivery of capex and capitalisation reporting
• Proactively ensuring project and capitalisation issues are managed effectively as they arise
• Ensuring a high standard of governance around project creation, maintenance and structure
• Leveraging of cross-functional relationships and manage a sizeable team to ensure timely and accurate capitalisation of all in-service projects
• Proactively manage upstream stakeholders across various business groups and various technology types to create volume for of assets for capitalisation
• Recognising performance of team leads and actively mentoring team leads to develop talent and provide opportunities for career growth
• Driving team engagement
• Supporting the management of offshore operations to deliver into team objectives

Requirements for the role will include:

• Solid understanding of Australian Financial Reporting
• Minimum 10 years CA/CPA
• Background in Technical accounting is a must ASX - listed experience would be preferable
• Practice background, whether that be Big 4 or Mid Tier
• Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting and reporting tools
