Job description
Charterhouse are partnering with a well-established, growth-focused organisation to appoint an up and coming Finance Manager into a key leadership role based in Brisbane.This is a broad, hands-on Finance Manager position sitting within a lean head office finance team and reporting to the CFO.
The role has end-to-end ownership across core finance operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll, while also taking responsibility for month-end close, reporting, audit support and maintaining strong financial controls.
It is a strong fit for a technically capable Financial Accountant or early-stage Finance Manager who is ready to step up, take ownership of a small team, and develop further under supportive leadership. The role requires someone who is comfortable being both operational and detail-oriented, while also starting to step into more leadership and process improvement responsibilities.
Key responsibilities include oversight of day-to-day finance operations, delivery of accurate month-end reporting, support with statutory reporting and audit processes, maintenance of robust financial controls, and driving improvements across systems and processes. You will also be responsible for supporting and developing a small transactional team and stepping in where required to ensure smooth day-to-day running of the function.
The successful candidate will be CA or CPA qualified (or near completion), with approximately five years’ experience across core accounting or finance roles including financial accounting, AP, AR and payroll. Experience supervising or supporting junior team members, along with exposure to month-end reporting and audit processes, will be highly regarded. ERP system exposure is beneficial but not essential.
