The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the use and maintenance of the S4 Hana Finance System
Responsibilities Include:
- Provide support and guidance to S4 Hana Finance systems users ensuring matters are promptly addressed
- Provide support for the interfaces between policy systems and the S4 Hana Finance system ensuring any failures and/ or mapping issues are promptly addressed
- Create and amend user accounts and general ledger master data in accordance with instructions and approvals provided by the Manager, Financial Systems support and other managers who are designated approvers
- Where required, liaise with vendor support personnel in order to address S4 Hana Finance system issues
- Update tickets promptly and monitor progress to ensure that requests are resolved within SLA timeframes
- Where required, liaise with Business Technology (BT) personnel to ensure computer resource and support requirements for financial systems are met
- Maintain the chart of accounts, cost centre and internal orders master data and distribute weekly
- Perform month end tasks including ledger close activities, support of monthly cost allocations/ assessments and other tasks as assigned
- Conduct user testing as required under the instruction of the Finance test manager or equivalent
- Provide back-up support for other team members specifically for Sun scheme vendor creations and Navigator batch failures
- Respond to questions and information requests from internal and external auditors in a timely fashion
- Maintain a sound knowledge of contemporary accounting principles
To thrive in this role, you will be/ must have:
- Experience of the SAP S4 Hana Finance Application
- Accounting qualifications and/or an accounting background
- Experience in Financial Systems in the financial services or insurance industry
