Job description

Senior Accountant | Manufacturing | Scenic Rim, QLD

Charterhouse is partnering with a leading organisation in the manufacturing sector to appoint a Senior Accountant.

Our client is a well-established and fast-growing manufacturer with a strong reputation for quality and operational excellence.

This is a hands-on, commercially focused role best suited to a technically strong accountant who enjoys working closely with operations and contributing to business performance in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in financial reporting, analysis, and supporting day-to-day financial operations across the business.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Preparing monthly financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and supporting reports
  • Analysing financial performance and providing clear insights and recommendations to management
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow activities
  • Leading internal audit and compliance activities across the organisation
  • Overseeing bookkeeping and payroll functions
  • Reviewing and improving financial systems and processes
  • Translating financial data into meaningful insights for non-financial stakeholders
  • Supporting and guiding a small finance team, stepping in where required to ensure continuity
To be successful, you will bring:
  • A degree in Accounting, with CPA qualification completed or in progress
  • Minimum 3+ years' experience in a Senior Accountant or similar role
  • Strong technical accounting and financial reporting capability
  • Experience in a manufacturing or complex operational environment preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage non-financial stakeholders
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to support or supervise team members
  • A professional presentation and approach
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing manufacturing business, where you will gain broad exposure across finance and operations in a genuinely hands-on environment.
