Job description
Manager – Corporate Tax (Private Clients)- Big 4 Firm
- Brisbane (Hybrid)
- Full-time or Reduced Hours Considered
If you've built solid tax experience at a mid-tier firm and are ready to take on a more complex, diverse client portfolio — with genuine career progression and the backing of a world-class platform — this is the move worth making.
About the firm
This is a globally connected, top-tier professional services firm with a market-leading private clients practice in Brisbane. Their tax team works with some of the most sophisticated private clients in Australia — large privately owned corporate groups, high net wealth families, and fast-growth entrepreneurial businesses.
The firm is actively investing in AI-enabled workflows, meaning their tax professionals spend less time on routine tasks and more time on complex, high-value advisory work.
The opportunity
As Manager, you'll take ownership of a diverse portfolio of private clients and work directly alongside Partners and senior specialists on complex tax matters. This isn't a compliance-heavy role — there's genuine exposure to advisory, restructuring, and cross-border work from day one.
You'll also play a key role in mentoring junior staff, giving you a clear pathway to Senior Manager and beyond.
What you'll be doing
- Managing a portfolio of privately owned corporate groups, high net wealth individuals and families, trusts, partnerships, and entrepreneurial businesses
- Overseeing tax compliance, financial statements, planning, and advisory services across complex, multi-entity client structures including tax consolidated groups
- Delivering consulting advice on corporate restructures, capital gains tax, Division 7A, trust issues, and domestic and cross-border transactions
- Coaching and developing junior team members, building your leadership profile within a high-performing national practice
What you'll bring
- Tax experience gained in a professional services environment in Australia — top-tier, second-tier, or legal firm backgrounds all welcomed
- Advanced technical knowledge across corporate groups, trusts, and individual tax
- Experience managing a portfolio of clients and overseeing junior staff
- Confident client presence — comfortable leading meetings and building your own network
What's on offer
- Competitive salary open to negotiation based on your experience
- Genuine flexibility — hybrid work plus reduced hours arrangements genuinely considered
- Market-leading benefits including annual wellness incentive, up to 8 weeks flex leave per year, and 26 weeks gender-neutral paid parental leave
- Clear career pathway with structured development, world-class training, and international exposure
