Job description

This Government agency based in Chatswood is currently looking to recruit a Manager within their Investment Portfolio division. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the development of an overall integrated investment framework for the departments services and operations across the cluster. This includes the development of a 10 year Services and Operations Plan aligned to planning and investment priorities and processes, and ensuring systems are in place to assure stakeholders that services and operations strategies are effective and efficient.

Your main responsibilities will include:
  • Work collaboratively with other divisions and operating agencies to ensure that the Services and Operations Plan is a robust strategic plan and aligns to the strategic direction set for the department
  • Work with all service areas and Finance and Investment Division to ensure that the Services and Operations Plan provides a sound description of current and future financial requirements including identification of any funding gaps
  • Work with professionals across the cluster to develop a robust model of various potential investment scenarios for Services and Operations
  • Work with the Service Performance Team to drive the development of key performance indicators that will provide evidence to support the nature and level of investment
  • Support the development and continual improvement of systems to provide consistent and effective management of the Services and Operations Plan and its implementation
  • Contribute to the development, review, and improvement of business plans, systems and processes, and report regularly on activities, performance, trends and issues against plans and budgets
  • Ensure sound financial management for Services and Operations expenditure, including planning, budgeting and reporting
Key requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, such as economics, management accounting, project management or equivalent experience
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Demonstrate experience in similar roles
  • Ability to work autonomously with a focus on delivering solutions and business outcomes
  • Background in Capital works or Infrastructure Operating Models
