Job description

This leading Telco client requires a Network Planner required for ACF Support. This is the result of increased workload due to rollout of Boundary Manager and improved resolution of differences between EVO and NNP.

The Planner will produce fixed access plans and manage the change management process for boundary management and technology selection across the network by taking into consideration the current rollout-plan, the long-term strategic plan, financial cost modelling, network growth and capacity planning.

This will be achieved by taking inputs from various planning, engineering, regional deployment and business teams which include MTM Strategy, Integrated Deployment Planning, Site and Transit network, Fixed-Wireless, HFC, Satellite, new developments and any other network related initiatives that need to be analysed, assessed and documented to determine the impact to the overall network plan and any changes request that are raised.

The network planner will also liaise with Finance and other Operational and Planning teams to ensure that the all network inputs reflect the long-term strategic imperatives for nbn. This includes:

  • Manage and conduct  the Access Technology Change Forum meetings
  • Represent Change Management in meetings and reviews when necessary.
  • Monitoring the effectiveness and efficiency of the Change Management process
  • Analyses and interprets customer needs and then delivers detailed planning solutions.
  • Implementation of changes to Boundaries and Technology into all Planning and Design systems, along with any associated documentation.
  • Continually review the Change Management process and associated activities for efficiency and effectiveness, and make recommendations for improvement
  • Control and lead improvement activities
  • Ensure the regular production of management information, indicating suggested action to deal with current or foreseen shortcomings.
  • Ensure that appropriate access technology solutions are provided to enable economically viable network plans.
  • Ensure high quality, and compliant boundaries for all rationalisation/optimisation projects under the change management regime are in place.
  • Produce access technology boundaries compliant with defined planning rules and guidelines.
  • Selects engineering planning techniques to solve problems and make design recommendations.
  • Provide in-depth knowledge of all subject matters engaged by the access planning team.
