Job description

My Government client is urgently seeking an experienced Personal Assistant to support an Executive Director based in Newcastle for a long term contract until 2018!

THE ROLE:

  • Manage all correspondence via email/phone and face to face
  • Extensive Diary management
  • Travel and accommodation arrangements
  • Co-ordination and support for meetings and appointments
  • Liaison and co-ordination with a wide range of program stakeholders
  • Documentation - preparation, review and finalization
  • SAP tasks including raising and receipting of purchase orders
  • Using TRIM to ensure information is stored accordingly in line with policies and procedures

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA: 

  • Experience supporting at least one Director within a large corporation in essential
  • Government experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Friendly and personable
  • Efficient and adaptable to new tasks
  • Responsive - able to operate well in a busy and complex environment
  • Proactive and self-starter
  • 5+ years’ experience within an administration or support role
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Word/Excel/Outlook
  • TRIM and SAP experience would be an advantage
  • Well-developed analytical and research skills
  • Prior exposure to Medical Terminology would be an advantage
