NSW Government Agency is looking for a Principal Manager to develop and maintain the appropriate management, governance, and control arrangements for an assigned division, coordinating across the division to maintain oversight of all major activities and issues.

 

The role will support effective management of the assigned team and act as the critical source of information for the wider organisation and external stakeholders as required.


Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate business planning processes for the Division, ensuring alignment with corporate strategies and initiatives, and drafting plans for approval
  • Develop, implement and review frameworks to support the identification of, and report on key risks, highlight interdependencies, report on progress and facilitate the successful management of issues
  • Manage forecasting, monitoring, controls and reporting on performance
  • Prepare accurate and detailed budget and forecast cash flow and milestone reports, containing recommendations on approval of costs and variations, up to date summaries of contract expenditure and identifying and addressing any program issues
  • Support the implementation of the agency’s internal governance framework
  • Provide committee secretariat services including and supporting the management of meetings
  • Lead and manage the internal approvals, management systems, reporting, documentation and communications to support the delivery and management activities of the team
  • Prepare detailed performance reports and high level briefing notes for use in management and executive meetings and for inclusion in corporate plans, business papers, annual reports and other corporate and ministerial project reporting

 

About you:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Project Management or another relevant field and/or an equivalent in commercial experience
  • Proven experience providing strategic support to a leadership team
  • Experience across Governance
  • Experience working within a Transport or Construction organisation is beneficial
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
