Project Director - Far North Coast

• Murwillumbah / WFH
• Initial 12 month contract
• $1,100 p/d incl Super (40 hour week)

NSW Government Agency is looking for a Project Director to join their team in Murwillumbah. You will lead and manage the project teams through project governance and formation to deliver the major capital works outcome across Ballina / Byron / Tweed council areas.

The Role: 

• Evaluate the progress and performance of designated Major Works (over $20m) projects using the existing program management tracking and monitoring systems, guidelines, policies and processes.
• Manage probity relating to procurement, contracting arrangements and ensure procurement plans are in place, undertaken and reviewed with a focus on the end user, value for money, project timing, innovation and future use.
• Direct project delivery interfaces with service providers, design teams and building contractors while managing the project specified time, cost and quality framework
• Ensure the correct statutory planning approval path is identified and undertaken for individual projects and programs including consultation with local Councils and relevant consent authorities
• Accountable for the development of project briefs, project plans and risk management plans for individual projects, including liaising with the Asset Planners in the development of Capital Works proposals
• Develop effective partnership with clients, service providers, consultants and suppliers for all phases of projects

About you: 

• Tertiary qualifications in Construction, Engineering, Project Management or relevant field and/or relevant industry experience.
• Experience in planning and/ or delivery of construction projects to a value of more than $20 million.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Driver’s license as the office’s responsibility could stretch as far south as Port Macquarie.
• Must be fully vaccinated to commence this position.
