Charterhouse are partnered with a well-established and growing mid-sized accounting and financial services firm who are looking to appoint a Senior Accountant into their Business Services team based in Kogarah
 
With multiple offices across Australia and more than 20 years in the market, the firm has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality accounting, taxation and wealth advisory services to a diverse client base ranging from SMEs through to larger privately owned groups and high-net-worth individuals.

About the Role
This is a hands-on Senior Accountant role offering a mix of compliance, client management and advisory exposure. You will work closely with the Partner while managing your own portfolio of clients across a broad range of industries.
 
Key responsibilities include:
  • Preparation of financial statements and tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals
  • Managing a portfolio of business clients across a diverse range of industries
  • Client liaison and relationship management as a key point of contact
  • Exposure to advisory work including tax planning, cash flow forecasting and business structuring
  • Reviewing work completed by junior accountants where required
  • Assisting with workflow management and client delivery deadlines
  • Supporting process improvements and contributing to the continued growth of the team

Skills & Experience
  • CA/CPA qualified or currently studying
  • 4+ years' experience within Public Practice/Business Services
  • Strong technical tax and compliance knowledge
  • Experience managing client relationships and handling client queries
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlines
