Working closely with the leadership team, you will take ownership of a portfolio of SME clients while playing an increasingly important role within the team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a portfolio of SME clients across accounting and taxation
- Preparation and review of financial statements and tax returns
- Providing clients with commercially focused advice beyond compliance
- Assisting clients with business planning, cash flow and growth strategies
- Reviewing work and supporting junior accountants
- Building strong, long-term relationships with clients
- Identifying opportunities to improve client processes and efficiencies
- Utilising Xero and other cloud-based technologies to deliver a modern accounting experience
- Working closely with Partners and senior team members on more complex client matters
- 5+ years' experience within Australian public practice
- Strong Business Services and Tax experience
- CA or CPA qualification, or currently studying towards it
- Strong experience with Xero
- Experience managing a portfolio of SME clients
- The ability to communicate confidently with clients and build trusted relationships
- An interest in developing your business advisory and leadership skills
- A proactive mindset and desire to progress your career
This is not a traditional compliance-focused accounting environment.
