Job description
We're partnering with a highly regarded public practice accounting firm that's looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join its growing team.If you enjoy building strong client relationships but are tired of doing everything yourself, this is an opportunity to work in a supportive environment where you'll focus on high-value client work while being backed by an experienced offshore support team and a collaborative group of accountants.

The Opportunity You'll manage your own portfolio of bookkeeping clients across a diverse range of industries while working closely with both the accounting team and offshore support staff.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing end-to-end bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients
- Processing payroll and ensuring compliance with BAS, IAS, STP, Payroll Tax, TPAR and WorkCover obligations
- Preparing reconciliations, management reports and financial information
- Managing client onboarding, file reviews and clean-ups
- Building trusted relationships with clients and providing exceptional service
- Reviewing work completed by the offshore team to ensure accuracy and quality
- Identifying process improvements and helping clients streamline their bookkeeping functions
- Previous bookkeeping experience within a public practice accounting firm or bookkeeping firm
- Experience managing multiple client portfolios
- Strong knowledge of BAS, payroll and statutory compliance requirements
- Experience using Xero and other cloud-based accounting software
- Excellent reconciliation skills and strong attention to detail
- Outstanding communication and client relationship management skills
- The ability to prioritise competing deadlines while working collaboratively within a team
- $90,000 - $100,000 + Super (depending on experience)
