Senior Cloud & Infrastructure EngineerAbout the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer to join a growing technology team responsible for the design, delivery, and ongoing operation of enterprise cloud and infrastructure platforms. This position plays a key role in shaping cloud strategy, improving platform reliability, and driving automation across both cloud and on-premises environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the senior escalation point for cloud, systems, and infrastructure-related incidents and technical challenges.
- Design, implement, and support enterprise infrastructure across public cloud and hybrid environments.
- Maintain and enhance cloud governance frameworks, including identity management, access controls, and policy enforcement.
- Lead infrastructure and platform projects from solution design through to implementation and operational handover.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or similar automation frameworks.
- Build, maintain, and optimise CI/CD pipelines to support platform and infrastructure deployments.
- Drive improvements in system performance, resilience, security, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure infrastructure aligns with relevant security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor platform health and proactively identify opportunities for automation, optimisation, and cost reduction.
- Provide technical mentoring and guidance to engineers across the broader technology team.
- 5+ years of experience in a Cloud Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, or Systems Engineer role.
- Strong hands-on expertise across cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience supporting hybrid infrastructure environments, including Microsoft Active Directory and enterprise networking.
- Proven experience implementing Infrastructure as Code and automation practices.
- Strong understanding of identity and access management, governance, and cloud security best practices.
- Experience with DevOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and modern infrastructure operations.
